As of July 21st 2010 Yahoo Personals will be closing and Yahoo will no longer be hosting an online dating community. As the site was well liked and enjoyed a great percentage of success helping singles find romantic interests along with joining friends within the community, we’re certainly sorry to see it go.
All members effected by Yahoo Personals ending have a couple of options to choose from and may want to take a look at these prior to the closing date. Current members will be able to enjoy the migration of their accounts to Match.com if they should so choose.
Match.com is a wonderful online dating community with many helpful tools and features that provide help to members within the community, specializing in romantic matches. In order to have your account migrated you will need to take the appropriate steps (all information is available on the Yahoo Personal’s Site) prior to January 19th 2011, when this option will become void.
Another option for current Yahoo Personals members is to request a prorated refund for their remaining time with the site. Information on how to obtain your refund may also be found on the Yahoo Personals site.
We hope that members will continue their lives within the online dating community and hope to provide and well rounded selection of sites to choose from for those looking for new online dating options.
